As a Minneapolis, Minnesota newborn in home photographer this session was so dreamy! I love photographing clients in their own space. I have found that clients are more comfortable in their house. This makes my job photographing what their new life looks like so special.

If you’re wondering if your home is well suited for an in home session here are some things to look for.

• Abundant light; large windows that allow in plenty of natural light
• Neutral and minimal decor

Most of the time newborn sessions take place in the nursery, primary bedroom and/or living room. However if the space in your home with the best light and neutral/minimal decor is the spare bedroom, entryway or kitchen those images can be creative and beautiful!

I met Carter’s mom when we both worked together at our first big corporate jobs out of college. You could say she was my “work bestie.” I’m so thankful her sweet baby Carter reunited us. We picked right back up like old friends!
